Henry Cerbone is a photographer primarily interested in macro photography and portraiture (although he often finds himself dabbling in various other photographic disciplines). He has previous experience doing sports and event photography as well. The pictures displayed on this site are largely collected from the areas surrounding his home in Albright, WV and various locations in and around Cambridge, MA. His house sits on the river, and many images displayed were taken while sitting on the river bank. They are taken with a Canon EOS RP and a collection of increasingly odd lenses. He particularly enjoys shooting with a set of Canon FD Auto Bellows, a 200 mm FD macro lens, and a 100 mm EF L macro lens. For portraits, his favorite lens is an 85 mm FD with the 70-200 mm EF ii L a close second.
It is his goal to take photographs every day, although during the semester this is seldom achieved. He hopes that this website will at minimum serve as a sharing platform for these daily shoots.
When not behind a camera, Henry is a student at Harvard pursuing a special concentration in Ontology of Autonomous Systems spanning robotics, computer science, philosophy, mathematics, and organismic biology. His non-photography work mostly consists of working on his thesis which investigates the use of robotics to model biological phenomena at the organism level taking plumed basilisk lizards running on water as an example.
